Introduction of Asian Studies

One of the ways Ball State University stretches to embrace the world is by offering faculty and students the opportunity to travel to the Far East. Over the past thirty years, the university has developed exchange agreements with seven institutions of higher education in Japan, Korea, and China, leading to a program of study tours and faculty, professorial, undergraduate and graduate student exchanges.
Faculty and students have the opportunity to experience cultural, research, and educational challenges that can enhance careers and broaden personal horizons.

Faculty members can participate in an exchange programs with our sister universities in China, Japan, Korea and Thailand from one to two semesters. Exchange faculty may teach classes, conduct research, and present special lectures in their specialty areas.

Students have opportunities to study at one of our sister universities for a semester or one academic year. Qualified students may earn a master degree at Kyunghee University with full scholarship.
